A ‘Fianna Fail Are Criminals, Drink Drivers & Tax Cheats’ Poster from 2003 produced by Working Class Action (WCA).
These posters were produced in reaction to Bertie Ahern stating that people who opposed the bin Tax were ‘Spongers’.
They appeared all over Dublin at the time, although many were allegedly torn down (possibly FF or indeed souvenir hunters).
Working Class Action were a Left Wing Dublin based campaign group. They were active in the Anti Bin Tax campaign. Amongst those involved in Working Class Action were Cieran Perry who was elected to Dublin City Council in 2009 and Joe Mooney. Both stood in the 2004 Local Elections.

From 2002 Paul McGraths Irish World Cup Fixture Guide -Fine Gael -2002 GE June 20, 2010
The 2002 General Election was held on the 17th of May. World Cup Fever wasn’t quite at its height as the Roy Keane Saipan saga didn’t fully start until the 21st of May.
This is a card from Fine Gaels Paul McGrath with his details on the front and the world cup fixtures on the reverse. A number of candidates produced similar cards.
The TDs namesake had retired in 1998.

From the November 1982 General Election a canvass card for Fianna Fail candidates David Andrews, Lady Valerie Goulding, Owen Hammond and Martin O’Donoghue. David Andrews was the only one of them to win a seat.
I probably got this outside the polling station as back then canvassers operated as you went in to vote.
The Card was a smaller version of the Fianna Fail posters festooning the area.

From the 1999 local elections a leaflet for Labour candidate Don Culloty running for a seat on Killarney UDC. He polled 138 votes and failed to be elected. I’m curious if he is any relation to former Jockey and now Trainer Jim Culloty.
The leaflet also mentions that Breeda Moynihan Cronin and Andrew McCarthy are running for the County Council, that Sean Counihan is the other Labour candidate for the UDC and that Paula Desmond is running for Europe.
A 2001 leaflet where the then Green Party Councillor Eamon Ryan introduces himself to the voters of Dublin South
A 2001 leaflet where the then Green Party Councillor Eamon Ryan introduces himself to the voters of Dublin South. Ryan was initially elected as a Councillor for the Rathmines Ward in 1999 (I think he was co-opted onto the council prior to that) and was then switched to Dublin South in the run up to the 2002 General Election.
Sean Ardagh -Fianna Fail -1997 GE Dublin South Central
From the 1997 General Election, Fianna Fail candidate Sean Ardagh running in Dublin South Central.

Richard Bruton ‘Seeking Your Support’ -Fine Gael-1992 GE Dublin North Central June 15, 2010
A Richard Bruton leaflet from the 1992 General Election where he is running in Dublin North Central.
It felt apt to post considering Richard Bruton is currently seeking the support of party colleagues.
As often is the case many of the issues in the leaflet are still with us.
