From the 1985 Local Elections a Leaflet from Parick Hickey, Donal Lydon and Carmel Ryan who were running for Fianna Fail in Stillorgan.
Lydon and Hickey were elected.
From the 1985 Local Elections a flyer for Sean Ardagh, the ultimate celebrity candidate Sonny Knowles, Gerrard Mullally and Seamus McGowan who were running for Fianna Fail in Terenure. Sean Ardagh and Seamus McGowan were both elected. I’ve included the result below also.

From the 1985 Local Elections a leaflet from Fine Gael candidates in Blackrock, John Dockrell, Aine Elliot and William O’Grady. Both John Dockrell and Aine Elliot were elected. I’ve put a screenshot of the result in the post also.
From the 1985 Local Elections a canvass card from Fianna Fail Blackrock candidate Paddy Madigan. He Polled 1121 votes and was elected.
From the 1985 Local Elections a leaflet for Fine Gael candidates Simon Hanley, Jim Harty, Jerry O’Brien, Garry O’Halloran, Michael O’Riordan and Richard Walsh who were running in Dungarvan. Michael O’Rioran, Jim Harty and Garry O’Halloran were elected. I’ve included the Dungarvan 1985 results too.
From the 1985 Local Elections a charming flyer from Independent candidate Tom Farrell (The Bullockstown Boy) ‘King of the Shannon’ running in Ballymahon for a seat on Longford County Council. He polled 234 votes and failed to win a seat. I gather that he was an Fianna Fail man who ran as an Independent and was known locally as Tom Andy Farrell.

From the 1985 Local Elections a leaflet for Labour Party candidates Charlie Keddy and Tom Mulligan who we running in Greystones for seats on Wicklow County Council.
Keddy polled 448 votes and Mulligan 214 votes and neither won a seat.
Keddy has since contested many elections (his record) and this first outing was the most votes he ever received.
A lovely leaflet this from the 1985 Local Elections for Labour Party candidates in Greystones Tom Mulligan and Charlie Keddy. Keddy polled 448 votes whilst Mulligan polled 214 votes. Neither were elected.
From the 1985 Local Elections a leaflet from Sinn Fein candidate Liam MacElhinney who was running in Letterkenny. He polled 1,321 votes and was elected.

From the 1985 Local Elections a Leaflet for Joe Cummins, Patrick Power and Tony Roche who were running for Fianna Fail in Area 1 of Waterford Corporation. Power and Roche were elected.
Strangely enough I see no record of Joe Cummins running but two other Fianna Fail candidates Larry Dower and Ann O’Rourke are listed in the results I have.
From the 1985 Local Elections campaign a leaflet from Sinn Fein candidate John Crabbe running in Dublins South East Inner City Ward. Despite , in this five seater,being fourth after the first count on 1,095 votes Crabbe eventually lost out to Andy Smith of The Workers Party in the final count.
The last page of the Leaflet is dedicated to attacking The Workers Party with the headline “Don’t be fooled by the WP”.

From the 1985 Local Elections Tommy Foley and Donal Tobin running for the Workers Party for seats on Tralee UDC and Tobin also ran for Kerry County Council. Tobin polled 413 votes in the County Council Elections and failed to win a seat.
Water charges were one of the issues they campaigned on.
