In 2002 The UCD branch of the Socialist Workers’ Party decided to leave the main party and re-name themselves Socialist Alternative. They released a lengthy Statement as to their reasons why.

From 2002, in the aftermath of the Abortion Referendum a Socialist Worker Abortion Referendum Special Supplement.
From the 2004 Local Elections a leaflet from Damon Matthew Wise and Karen Christine Wise who were running for seats on Shannon Town Council. Although running as Independents they were registered under The SWP. Damon Matthew Wise polled 15 votes and Karen Christine Wise polled 4 votes.

A Special two page issue of The Socialist Worker produced in the aftermath of the attack on the World Trade Centre on September 11th 2001. It has a piece on Osama Bin Laden, suggests that the attack is the ‘Bitter fruit of US Policy’ and also has a piece on ‘Marxism and Terrorism’

“Why You Should Protest Against The G8” a Leaflet from the SWP advertising a meeting of the same heading aswell as giving reasons to protest and also giving notice that the SWP will be running buses to Fermanagh to protest at the G8 Summit.

From 1992 , in the aftermath of the X-Case a leaflet on Abortion from The Socialist Workers Movement intended for Secondary school students. The leaflet was never distributed.

In 2004 Bertie Ahern proclaimed himself to be a Socialist. This leaflet from the Socialist Workers Party refers to that with “Bertie says he is a socialist…. Get the Real Thing! ” .
