Not Irish but something I had that I thought might be of interest. “Angela Davis On Trial” a leaflet from the London based Angela Davis Defence Committee. I presume its from 1971.
The leaflet gives a background to Davis, the offences commited and why she should be released. Davis was prominent in the Black Panthers and The Communist Party of the USA.

First off many thanks to the sender. This poster is from a group called SAC and appeared over Dublin in the mid 80s (1987?) .
“THINK -Thought Kills All Known Clerics. Dead.” was a play on an ad for a popular detergent. The image also has nuns and priests going down the toilet.

Anti Rod Licence Ad from the 1989 General Election urging a vote for anti Rod Licence candidates.
From the 1989 General Election an Ad from the Corrib Anglers and Boatmen against the controversial Rod Licence Legislation introduced by Fianna Fail. The Ad urges votes for 5 candidates who were against the Legislation.
In that 1989 Election, an Anti Rod Licence candidate, Frank Durcan ran in Mayo West polling a very respectable 5,187 votes.

From the brief 2004 visit of US President George W Bush to Ireland, a ‘Stop Bush’ poster and a leaflet urging a protest and advertising the ‘When Bush Comes to Shove’ Anti-War Gig in the Point. It was a decent line up with amongst others Mary Black, Kila, Christy Moore and Damien Rice.

For legal reasons I’ve blacked out where it refers to as it may be a specific case.
I’m not sure who is behind it and am pretty sure it has nothing to do with Larry Murphy.

This week I protested outside ESB headquarters because ESB are disconnecting people who are making a genuine effort to pay their power bills. I am one of those people.
Despite clearing €1,100 off a bill for €2,261.00 (which came about as a result of years of underestimated bills), I contacted ESB to arrange a payments schedule. The €50.00 I offered to pay per week out of my €196.00 social welfare is not acceptable to them, they want €150.00 per week and are intent on cutting me off despite…
