The Secretary is Catherine Fox. Noel Whelan, then Fianna Fails ‘National Youth Officer’ is mentioned also at the end of the leaflet.

From 1993 Labour ‘Working For You In Government’ leaflet. In a coalition government with Fianna Fail, Labour was ‘Putting its Programme for Change into Action’.
The leaflet details what had been done such as the introduction of the May Day holiday. The Childrens allowance was £20.
House building in 1993 was up to 3,700 from 2,800 in 1992.
The restriction on RTEs advertising Revenue had been lifted and lots more.

From the 2004 Local Elections a leaflet for Fianna Fail candidate Vincent Kenny running in Terenure Rathfarnham.
Kenny, who had stood as an Independent with emphasis on Environmental issues in 1999, had been co-opted to replace Ann Ormonde in 2003. He failed to win a seat in 2004. In the 2009 Local Elections he stood again as an Independent without success.

Amongst the items mentioned are the Dail Public Accounts Committee and Supporting “a formal Irish role in European Security and defence“.

From the 1985 local elections leaflet for Green candidate the late Betty Reeves. Betty Reeves was a founder member of the Green Party and was elected to the council in 1991.
It is a generic leaflet where the candidates name is stamped on it.

The leaflet focuses on amongst other things Immigration policy and the entry of Turkey into the EU.

Noel Davern was elected. Martin Mansergh failed to win a seat but was elected in 2007.

Manserghs time in the Public Sector is quite interesting.

The 2002 General Election was held on the 17th of May. World Cup Fever wasn’t quite at its height as the Roy Keane Saipan saga didn’t fully start until the 21st of May.
This is a card from Fine Gaels Paul McGrath with his details on the front and the world cup fixtures on the reverse. A number of candidates produced similar cards.
The TDs namesake had retired in 1998.

Joe Dooley and Pat Moylan were elected.
Pat Moylan has also served in the Seanad and has held the position of Cathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann.
Leaflet for Pádraig Mac Lochlainn -Sinn Fein -2009 European Elections North West
From the 2009 European Elections a leaflet for Sinn Fein candidate Pádraig Mac Lochlainn running in North-West. Pádraig Mac Lochlainn polled 45,515 votes, just over 9% of the total poll and failed to win a seat.
He is seen as a contender in Donegal North East at the next General Election. In 2007 he was second on the first count but failed to attract sufficient transfers to put him over the line.

From the November 1982 General Election a canvass card for Fianna Fail candidates David Andrews, Lady Valerie Goulding, Owen Hammond and Martin O’Donoghue. David Andrews was the only one of them to win a seat.
I probably got this outside the polling station as back then canvassers operated as you went in to vote.
The Card was a smaller version of the Fianna Fail posters festooning the area.
