In Light of the Civil Partnership Bill pssing in the Dail, a leaflet from Paul O’Loughlin of The Christian Solidarity Party who were opposed to the Bill. Indeed Paul O’Loughlin could be seen protesting outside the Dail on the issue.
We learn that Paul was a director of the Campaign against Stringfellows Strip Club

Dick Roche Newsletter -Fianna Fail -1989 General Election Wicklow


From the 1989 General Election a newsletter from Fianna Fails Dick Roche running in Wicklow. Dick Roche won a seat.
Having been elected in 1987 the Haughey led government, despite support from Fine Gael in the guise of the Tallaght Strategy decided to go to the country for a bigger mandate.
Like today many of the problems dated back to when Fianna Fail had previously been in government, especially the policies of the 1977 to 1981 Fianna Fail Government.
Similar enough to today we get the blurb of problems being tackled although ‘the support and encouragement received from the Irish people‘ isn’t quite as available as it was then.

‘Say Yes For The Union’ an Ulster Unionist Party Leaflet in favour of the Good Friday Agreement.
Pictured outside Stormont are David Trimble and John Taylor.The UUP portray the Agreement as good for The Union.
The change in articles 2 and 3 of the Constitution (The Republics ‘illegal territorial claim‘) get a good mention as do plenty of other key phrases like securing the Union.
