From the 2004 Local ELections a leaflet for Socialist Workers Party candidate Brendan Donohoe who was running for a seat on Dublin City Council in the South West Inner City Ward. Donohoe polled 308 votes and failed to win a seat.

A kind soul has sent me a number of Local Election Results that are currently unavailable online. At the minute the fabulous electionsireland.org has most of the 1991 LE with all of the 1999, 2004 and 2009 results.
I’m going to start with the Local Election Results from Dublin City Council and Dublin County Council for the 1967 , 1974, 1979,1985, 1991, 1999, 2004 and 2009 Local Elections with many count details.
Its in excel format , if there is an interest I’ll add some more.

leaflet from Colm McGrath -Independent – Clondalkin 2004 Local Elections June 15, 2011
From the 2004 Local Elections a flyer from Independent candidate Colm McGrath running in Clondalkin. McGrath a former Fianna Fail councillor and General Election candidate, was deselected by Fianna Fail for the 1999 Local Elections and was elected as an independent. In this 2004 Election he polled 861 votes and lost his seat.
He ran again in the 2011 General Election polling just 253 votes.
In 2010 he along with other former Fianna Fail councillors Don Lydon, Sean Gilbride and Tony Fox were charged with corruption.

From the 2004 Local Elections a leaflet from Socialist Workers Party candidate Shay Ryan running in the South East Inner city Ward for a seat on Dublin City Council. Ryan polled 239 votes and failed to win a seat.

From the 2004 Local Elections a leaflet for Catherine Kennedy of the Socialist Workers Party running in Bray. She polled 295 votes and missed out on a seat. In 2009 she stood for Sinn Fein without success.
Eamon Tuffys 2004 Champions League Final Leaflet -Labour -2004 LE Lucan March 2, 2011
From the 2004 Local Elections in the Lucan ward a clever flyer delivered to houses on the evening of the 2004 Champions League Final between Monaco and Porto. The match was won by Porto then managed by José Mourinho.
Eamon Tuffy was elected. He is the father of Labour Dublin Mid West TD Joanna Tuffy.
Richard Boyd Barrett ‘Scrap The Bin Tax’ Window Poster- SWP -2004 Local Elections Dun Laoghaire January 17, 2011
From the 2004 Local Elections a Window Poster from Socialist Workers Party candidate in Dun Laoghaire Richard Boyd Barrett with the message “Scrap The Bin Tax”. Boyd Barrett polled 1,439 votes and missed out on a seat. Like the 2007 General Election, in 2004 he was in position for a seat after the first count but lost out on transfers.

From the 2004 Local Elections a leaflet from Progressive Democrats candidate in Rathmines Tony Williams asking
“Who Can You Trust? -6 Questions You Should Ask Yourself Before June 11th”
The PDs were the answers to all six questions. Despite polling a decent enough 1,020 votes Williams failed to win a seat.
Flyer for Derek Keating -Independent (Now Fine Gael) -2004 Local Elections Lucan January 9, 2011
From the 2004 Local Election a letter from Independent candidate Derek Keating running in Lucan. On the reverse are some images of Newspaper clippings about rezoning in the area.
Keating polled 3,680 votes topping the poll and being elected on the first count. He has since joined Fine Gael and again topped the poll in the 2009 local Elections with 4,146 votes.
He is standing in Dublin Mid West in the 2011 Election for Fine Gael.

From the 2004 Local Elections a leaflet for Socialist Workers Party candidate Ritchie Browne running in the Artane Ward.
Browne running on an Anti Bin Tax platform polled 792 votes but failed to get in.
