From the 1997 General Election a leaflet from Fianna Fail candidate in Dublin North East Martin Brady. Notice how crime was the first issue listed … Zero Tolerance on crime which was one of the main tenets of that 1997 Fianna Fail Election campaign. He also gives a mention to “Proper controls to stem the flow of illegal immigrants”.
Brady was elected.
From 2007 a leaflet from Labour Dublin West TD Joan Burton from her campaign for the Deputy Leadership of the Labour Party. She was proposed by Brian O’Shea and Joanna Tuffy and won the contest.

A leaflet from Labour Youth entitled “Know Your Rights”. The leaflet outlines your entitlements in areas such as safety at work, Family and work, holidays and Breaks, harassment and Pay and Conditions. It also encourages you to join a Union.

From the 2009 Local Elections in Howth Malahide, a leaflet from Fianna Fail candidate Averil Power with the headline “A Fresh Voice for Portmarnock”.Power who polled 1,659 votes and failed to win a seat writes…
“By electing me you will get a determined and hard-working community representative who will bring a fresh energy and can-do attitude to tackling the issues affecting our area.”
From the 2007 General Election a “Sorry to have missed you!” scrap of flimsy paper from then Green Party TD Paul Gogarty. Although placed fifth in first preference votes (in this four seater) Gogarty held his seat and was the secomd TD to be elected.
From the 2011 Assembly Elections a leaflet from Harry Hutchinson, the People Before Profit candidate in Mid Ulster.
Hutchinson polled 243 votes.
From the 2007 General Election a leaflet from Sinn Fein candidate Joanne Spain who was running in Dublin Mid West. She polled 3,462 votes.
From the 2007 General Election a leaflet from Green Party candidate in Dublin North East David Healy with the memorable slogan of… “The Greens Won’t Let You Down”.
Healy, who was seen as a possible outside chance of a seat, polled 2,349 votes.
From the 2007 General Election a flyer from Progressive democrat candidate Keith Redmond who was running in Dublin North East. On the reverse is one of a series of cartoons used by the PDs during that campaign with the theme being “Stop the Motorways -Say the Greens”.
Redmond polled 749 votes.
From the 2009 Local Elections a Sorry I Missed You card from Independent candidate Baby Pereppadan who was running in Tallaght South. Pereppadan, originally from India, polled 799 votes and missed out on a seat.
From the 2011 West Belfast By-Election, caused by the resignation of Gerry Adams, a letter to voters from Sinn Fein candidate Paul Maskey. Maskey was easily elected.
A September 1981 copy of Protestant Telegraph a newspaper of the Democratic Unionist Party. The cover story deals with the murder of two RUC members, inside we have articles praising the use of plastic bullets, the link between the IRA and European Communists, a short history of The DUP. Amongst other items there are articles on Sunday trading and articles critical of goings on in other (Non Free Presbyterian) Protestant Faiths.

He polled 1,580 votes and failed to win a seat.
A card from Fianna Fail candidate in Tallaght South John Hannon from the 2009 Local Elections. The Long time councillor was elected. He has since been found wanting in the Mahon Tribunal Report and resigned from Fianna Fail.
