From the 2011 Seanad Elections a flyer from Eamon Scanlon of Fianna Fail running for a seat on the Agricultural Panel. Scanlon was previously elected to the Seanad on the Agricultural Panel in 2002 before winning a Dail seat in 2007 in Sligo North Leitrim. He lost his seat in the 2011 General Election.
He resigned the party whip for a period in the Dail, in opposition to cuts in breast cancer services at Sligo General Hospital.

John Perry -Fine Gael – Sligo Leitrim 2002 GE October 13, 2010

Perry, a Ballymote based businessman, was first elected in 1997 and despite it being a poor election for Fine Gael, he held on to his seat.
“Vision with Purpose” was a pretty bad Slogan especially when up against the memorable “A lot done, more to do”.

With Ted Nealon having retired and Labours Declan Bree holding a seat, Fine Gael had a challenge to win a second seat. In the end John Perry and the Leitrim based Gerry Reynolds won seats, with Decklan Bree losing out.
