“The Real Party of The Environment” a leaflet from Michael McDowell of The Progressive Democrats from the 1997 General Election. Despite the leaflet McDowell lost his seat with John Gormley of The Green Party winning a seat instead. As the Greens were making progress in the polls, in elections between 1997 and 2007 all parties tried to show off their environmental credentials.

From 1967 an issue of “Comment” a magazine/ Newsletter produced by the “Universities Branch of The Labour Party Earlsfort Terrace Dublin”. This issue is edited by Ruairi Quinn. There are various articles including the editorial on “Labour and Coalition” , some poetry, a Message from Brendan Corish, an article on development and planning, a piece on Cuba.

From the 1999 Local Elections a leaflet from Labour South East Inner City candidate Kevin Humphreys on “Tackling The Housing Crisis”. The leaflet outlines the housing crisis and offers various solutions. There is also a message of support from Ruairi Quinn.

From the 1976 Donegal North East By-Election a flyer from Hugh Conaghan who was running for Fianna Fail. The by-election won by Independent Fianna Fail candidate Paddy Keaveney (Father of former Fianna Fail TD Celecia Keaveney) , was caused by the passing of Fianna Fail TD Liam Cunningham. Hugh Conaghan was elected to the Dail in 1977 and served as a TD until 1989. The by election result.

From September 2007 a letter from Eamon Gilmore to Labour Party members outlining his aims for the Party. These aims included winning 30 seats at the next General Election and an open style of leadership. For some reason he also mentions a timeframe of six years.

From I think the 1986 Fine Gael Ard Fheis a leaflet advertising a meeting on ‘Basic Income’ from Young Fine Gael. The Basic Income was an idea also put forward by The Green Party at the time. Although it doesn’t directly mention it, there were many theories at the time regarding ‘The Leisure Age’, how as our jobs were replaced by machines we would have more time on our hands and the concept of employment would change.
