From the 2011 General Election Campaign a letter from Fianna Fails Brian Lenihan to voters in Dublin West concerning Educational developments in the area.
Last week potential FF leader , this week writing about is a a school being allowed apply for planning permission for a learning support block.
A leaflet advertising Selection Conventions for An Chomhdháil Phobail I The People’s Convention (CPPC) in various locations around Cork. They intend having candidates run in various constituencies.

A leaflet for the Green Party TD for Dun Laoghaire Ciaran Cuffe who is defending his seat in the forthcoming 2011 General Election. Bumped into him as he was canvassing today and got this leaflet from him.

From the 2011 General Election, a card delivered in doors this week from Kildare North Fianna Fail TD Aine Brady. Her colleague Michael Fitzpatrick delivered a budget guide.
Seems to indicate that a lot of Fianna Fail candidates may have been waiting for the leadership to be sorted before getting campaign literature together.
From the 2011 General Election, an ad from the Cork Independent newspaper for Green Party Senator Dan Boyle with the tag line “Honest and True”. Former TD Boyle is running in Cork South Central.

A Leaflet for the United Left Alliance Dun Laoghaire Launch on 2nd February. Amongst the speakers will be Joe Higgins, Richard Boyd Barrett and Kieran Allen.
Many thanks to the avid readers who pointed out the Thomas McEllistrim leaflet sans FF logo posted here earlier this week had made its way into The Irish Mail on Sunday on January 9 2011.
They got the bones of a full page article from the leaflet but failed to mention the leaflets source. It would be nice if they did.
A poster for the ‘United Left Alliance’ Cork Public Launch Rally to be held on the 12th January 2011 in the Metropole Hotel on MacCurtain Street at 7.30 pm.
Amongst those addressing the meeting will be Joe Higgins, Richard Boyd Barrett, Seamus Healy as well as Cork based candidates Mick Barry and Ann Foley.
From the 1987 General Election an Ad for Independent Fianna Fail candidate Michael ‘Stroke’ Fahy.
The Slogan of “The “Stroke” For Galway West” is fairly eye catching.
I gather he failed to get a party nomination and ran as an Independent Fianna Fail candidate.
He later rejoined the party. He is perhaps most widely known for his Misappropriation conviction for which he served time in jail.
In the 1987 Election he polled 3,139 votes and missed out on a seat. He is still a Councillor having been reelected in 2009.

Found this recently, an ad from the 1987 General Election Campaign with three people very much associated with Galway at the time, the late Mick Lally, the late Noel Browne and singer Mary Coughlan asking for a vote for Michael D.

An intriguing Fianna Fail ad from the February 1982 General Election with the message…
“The Coalition has taken away the right of YOUR child to enter this school at 4 years of age. Fianna Fail will Put This Right”
I’m not sure as to the background and what the coalition proposals about School going age were.
The ad asks for a vote for the Fianna Fail candidates in Galway West, Frank Fahey, Maire Geoghegan Quinn, Bobby Molloy, Mark Killilea and Nicholas O’Connor.

The Leaflet contains a slogan I’d hazard wont be on Fianna Fails 2011 Election Material …”It Happened Under Fianna Fails Watch”
