From the 1997 General Election a leaflet for Workers Party candidate the late Linda Kavanagh. Linda Kavanagh polled 509 votes. A long time Workers Party activist she stood on a number of occasions in Dail and Local Elections.
In the leaflet itself there is mention of things such as wanting the introduction of a 4.50 minumum wage, an abolition of Water Charges and also Peace.
From 2006 a flyer advertising a meeting addressed by Vincent Browne and a March for the ‘Global Day of Protest’ against US Troops in Shannon.
From the 2002 Seanad Election a leaflet for Independent Senator David Norris running in The University of Dublin.
His record and stance on a host of issues are listed as well as his supporters, nominators and other items.
From the 1989 General Election a newsletter from Fianna Fails Dick Roche running in Wicklow. Dick Roche won a seat.
Having been elected in 1987 the Haughey led government, despite support from Fine Gael in the guise of the Tallaght Strategy decided to go to the country for a bigger mandate.
Like today many of the problems dated back to when Fianna Fail had previously been in government, especially the policies of the 1977 to 1981 Fianna Fail Government.
Similar enough to today we get the blurb of problems being tackled although ‘the support and encouragement received from the Irish people‘ isn’t quite as available as it was then.
From the 2009 Local Elections for Naas Town Council a Leaflet for Fine Gael candidates Emer McDaid, Alan O’Kelly and Darren Scully.
All three were elected.

From the 2007 General Election, Progressive Democrat candidates in Tipperary South Richie Molloy and Peadar O’Donnell.
Clonmel based Molloy polled 364 votes and O’Donnell polled 177 votes.
In the 2009 local elections Richie Molloy was elected to Tipperary South Riding County Council running for Fianna Fail.
On electionsireland.org Peadar O’Donnell is down as having run for the Workers Party in the 1991 Local Elections. Some conversion from WP to PD.
A wonderful little Card from Fine Gaels Shane McEntee from the 2005 Meath by Election campaign.
In it he reminds us of his and his families GAA pedigree with Meaths 2005 NFL and NHL fixtures on the reverse.
Shane McEntee won the by-election.

‘Say Yes For The Union’ an Ulster Unionist Party Leaflet in favour of the Good Friday Agreement.
Pictured outside Stormont are David Trimble and John Taylor.The UUP portray the Agreement as good for The Union.
The change in articles 2 and 3 of the Constitution (The Republics ‘illegal territorial claim‘) get a good mention as do plenty of other key phrases like securing the Union.
From the 1994 European Elections in Dublin a Flyer for Fianna Fail candidate John Stafford. Stafford failed to win a seat.
Its not often you see a party Logo being used in a candidates name as Stafford does here.
From 1990 a ‘Join Fianna Fail Maynooth College’ Leaflet.
It includes details of Fianna Fails achievements, its History and what the Maynooth Cumann get up to.
The Secretary is Catherine Fox. Noel Whelan, then Fianna Fails ‘National Youth Officer’ is mentioned also at the end of the leaflet.
From the 2004 Local Elections, a simple leaflet for Fine Gael candidate Gary O’Connor running in Mulhuddart. He failed to win a seat.
From the 1999 Local Elections a leaflet for Labour candidate Tommy Moore running for Drogheda Borough Council and Louth County Council. He was elected to the Borough Council. His running mate Finian Brannigan won a seat on neither body.
From 1993 Labour ‘Working For You In Government’ leaflet. In a coalition government with Fianna Fail, Labour was ‘Putting its Programme for Change into Action’.
The leaflet details what had been done such as the introduction of the May Day holiday. The Childrens allowance was £20.
House building in 1993 was up to 3,700 from 2,800 in 1992.
The restriction on RTEs advertising Revenue had been lifted and lots more.
Aside from Dick Springs message on the front of the leaflet we also have a message from Jim Kemmy on the back with a form to fill out.
