AILG Newsletter “Elected Members’ Workload” Election Issue March 31, 2016
The Association of Irish Local Government Spring 2016 Newsletter giving details of an interesting survey of Elected Members as well as proposals “for improved terms, conditions and supports for Local Authority Members” . A number of Seanad candidates have been lambasted for promising to look after Councillors when in the main they are backing the AILG proposals.
I’ve also uploaded the AILG Newsletter in pdf

A leaflet “Traveller’s Lives Matter.. I’m voting for Traveller’s Rights” with 3 Questions for Election Candidates. The leaflet was produced by The Travellers of North Cork group.
Many thanks to the sender.
Leaflet from Conradh na Gaeilge #GaelVóta #GE16 February 8, 2016
From 2009 a letter from a candidates parents to neighbours asking for a vote. (I’ve redacted the letter to not identify the candidate or parents). I’ve a couple of different examples of these, so it’s not unusual.
The candidate lost their seat.
2015 in review December 30, 2015
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.
Here's an excerpt:
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 190,000 times in 2015. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 8 days for that many people to see it.
