From 1991 a leaflet from the ‘Clean-up Dublin Now Group’ advertising a prayerful walk from The Pro-Cathedral to the Central Bank on Dame Street. The walk was to protest against all sorts of ‘Moral Disintegration’ that Dublins City of Culture had seen rise.

A leaflet “Same Sex “Marriage” – A Human Right? ” from an unknown group that was available at the back of my Local Church.

A leaflet from SPUC against Same Sex Marriage in the UK. This is from last year when Same Sex Marriage Legialation was being debate in the House of Commons. Gives an idea of what we can expect in Ireland during our own Marriage Equality Referendum.

From the 1997 General Election a leaflet from Máire Kirrane who was running for The National Party which had been founded by Nora Bennis in the wake of her run in the 1994 European Elections. They are now called The Catholic Democrats and Theresa Heaney ran for them in the 2014 European Elections
Máire Kirrane polled 1,169 votes and missed out on a seat.

A Rather extreme Pro Life Leaflet from the ‘Childrens Protection Society’ which was recently delivered to TDs and Councillors all over the country.

A Youth Defence Leaflet about two of their senior members Niamh Nic Mhathúna (now Niamh Uí Bhriain) and John Heaney meeting the Pope.
On Friday, 4th August 1995 Niamh Nic Mhathuna (Chairwoman) and John Heaney (Campaign Co-ordinator) of Youth Defence received an invitation to attend the Private Mass of His Holiness Pope John Paul II and afterwards to meet with the Holy Father at Castelgandolfo.
After Mass the Holy Father spoke to Niamh and John and gave them his undivided attention, stressing the importance of Youth Defence’s pro-life work. As the audience ended the Holy Father himself summoned the Vatican Photographers to record the event.
