From The “Iris Fianna Fail ” Summer 1975 edition, the then Vice President of Fianna Fail Tomás Ó Maoláin gives his recollections of the first Fianna Fail Ard Fheis. It was held in the Rotunda Building on November the 24th 1926. It’s a wonderful account of the event. Interesting too to see how many people with links to the Easter Rising of ten years earlier were on the Partys National Executive.

Flyer for a 1991 “Walk for Decency and Godliness In Our Land” from the ‘Clean-up Dublin Now Group’ August 13, 2015
From 1991 a leaflet from the ‘Clean-up Dublin Now Group’ advertising a prayerful walk from The Pro-Cathedral to the Central Bank on Dame Street. The walk was to protest against all sorts of ‘Moral Disintegration’ that Dublins City of Culture had seen rise.

“Support The Armstrong Workers Occupation” posters and calendars from Dublin Mid 1970’s July 23, 2015
Various parts of Ireland had factories that assembled cars. There were factories in Wexford , Cork , Tipperary and many in Dublin. One factory was Armstrongs in Ringsend which in the 70’s assembled Minis and other Leyland brands. The factory was on Ringsend Road and the Archway entrance to it is still visible (pic below taken from Google Maps).
These posters and Calendars come from the Occupation of Armstrongs which lasted a number of years.

From a series of pamphlets The “Republican Lecture Series” , “Election Interventions -Historical and Contemporary” published by Sinn Fein Education Department in the mid 80’s. The pamphlet gives a background to the elections fought by Sinn Fein tracing its roots back to the 1869 election of IRB prisoners Charles Kickham and O’Donovan Rossa.
