From the 2011 General Election an election leaflet from Independent candidate (and former PD councillor) Councillor Victor Boyhan running in Dun Laoghaire.
Interestingly, a page of it is taken up with a message of support from Paul McGrath. McGrath and Boyhan spent many years together in the “Birds Nest” home on York Road in Dun Laoghaire and later down in Monkstown.
In McGraths acclaimed book “Back from the Brink” Victor Boyhan gets a number of mentions. Including “…he became one of the most outspoken voices in ensuring that Smyly Trust Homes would be covered under the State Redress Scheme, investigating the abuse of children.“

A letter from John Gormley (via Dail Envelope) to a constituent on “Why the Green Party called this election”.
For a collector like myself its quite interesting in that it details the final days of the government and the lead up to the election. We also get a look back on some of the things the Greens managed to get done…. and finally we get an apology for previously writing that parking for the new Superquinn in Rathgar “…was available in Christchurch Presbyterian Church at the top of Highfield Road.”

Ad for Lisa Chambers and Dara Calleary- Fianna Fail- Mayo


From the 2011 General election an Ad for Fianna Fail Mayo candidates Lisa Chambers and Dara Calleary. It is the first election for the Newport based Lisa Chambers (no relation of former Councillor and Senator Frank Chambers). Dara Calleary , who is currently a Junior Minister, will be hoping to hold on to his seat. Its a highly competitive constituency with Fine Gael hoping to win four of the Five seats and Labour hoping to make a breakthrough with their candidate Jerry Cowley.
