A “Free All Irish Political Prisoners” Poster with Karl Marx and (I presume) James Connolly. It was hiding in a friends uncles garage in Germany until recently.
A comment below gives a little history to the poster.
The poster was produced by the Prisoners Aid Committee in the early 70′s. The PAC was based in London and was originally set up in 1972 by Official Sinn Fein to campaign for IRA prisoners. The poster is a reminder that Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels had campaigned for Republican prisoners. The PAC designed and paid for the posters which were widely distibuted. By the end of 1974 all members of the PAC had been expelled from the British branch of the stickies, Clann na h’Eireann but the PAC continued to campaign for all Republican prisoners in English jails until the end of the 80′s.

‘Fight your corner -Dont Emigrate’ -Sinn Fein / Republican Clubs posters from the 1970s March 29, 2010
From the 1970s a selection of images of Republican Clubs and Sinn Fein posters kindly sent to me by a donor.
An Anti EEC poster presumably from the 1973 Referendum (with the Slogan Fight your corner – Don’t Emigrate), a poster criticising The Cosgrave Government , a Republican Clubs poster and one also for the Freeing of all Political Prisoners.
This version of Sinn Fein / Republican Clubs was the precursor of Sinn Fein The Workers Party which became The Workers Party although I’m not 100% sure they all are.
1995 Saoirse Leaflet – ‘Release all political prisoners now’ October 15, 2009
A Saoirse leaflet given out in Cork in 1995, a year or so after the first IRA Ceasefire. It contrasts the treatment of Lee Clegg with that of other prisoners such as Paul Norney and also gives ways in which you can help the campaign.
