From the 2004 Local Elections a leaflet for Ciarán MacAnnraoi and Christy Burke of Sinn Fein who were running in the North Inner City ward for a seat on Dublin County Council. ‘Big Ciarán’ MacAnnraoi polled 585 votes and failed to win a seat whilst Christy Burke topped the poll with 1,869 votes and won a seat.

From the 1992 General Election in Dublin Central, a leaflet “Dublin’s Hardest Working Councillor – Christy Burke, Sinn Fein”. Burke who had been elected to the council in 1985, polled 1,362 votes, a drop from his 1989 performance. This was possibly down to the redrawing of the constituency which is shown on the back of the leaflet. Burke left Sinn Fein a few days after being reelected to the City Council in 2009.

From the 2011 General Election Campaign a flyer from Independent candidate Christy Burke running in Dublin Central. The former Sinn Fein Councillor who left the party amid controversy mentions that ..He has “always acted with dignity, honesty and integrity”.
His “..not just at election time” was a phrase used in Maurice Aherns leaflets in the 2009 Dublin Central By-Election.

The leaflet also illustrates the role Christy Burke played in Sinn Fein at the time. Amongst other things it mentions that he stood in the 1996 Forum elections.
