Tom Farrell (The Bullockstown Boy) ‘King of the Shannon’ -Independent -Ballymahon -Longford-1985 Local Elections July 21, 2013

From the 1985 Local Elections a charming flyer from Independent candidate Tom Farrell (The Bullockstown Boy) ‘King of the Shannon’ running in Ballymahon for a seat on Longford County Council. He polled 234 votes and failed to win a seat. I gather that he was an Fianna Fail man who ran as an Independent and was known locally as Tom Andy Farrell.
Many thanks to the sender.
