Something highly unusual here, a leaflet for an Irishman, Finghín Kelly, who is running in the Local Elections in Brussels.

“I am the 10th candidate on the Gauches Communes list in Saint Gilles. Saint Gilles is a commune in Brussels.

Gauches Communes is standing in 4 Communes in Brussels. It was initiated by 3 parties, Parti Socialiste de Lutte (sister party of the Irish SP), Parti Humaniste and Comité pour une Autre Politique. From 1974 a Sinn Fein Manual of Publicity. It was an internal publication “..prepared solely for the information and guidance of Sinn Fein Members. It is not for public sale or distribution.”

It is fairly detailed and covers all areas of publicity from songs and poems, stickers, leaflets to cultivating contacts with the press and so on. An interesting read. I presume other parties produced such material also.

Many thanks to the sender.

Its fairly large so I have uploaded it in pdf. . Click on the link below or image below to launch.
