Ad for Seamus Healy- WUAG (ULA) -Tipperary South -2011 General Election January 27, 2011


From the 2011 General Election an ad for Workers and Unemployed Movement (United Left Alliance) candidate Seamus Healy running in Tipperary South. Healy, who lost his seat in the 2007 election, is seen as having a great chance of regaining it this time around.

Firstly many thanks to the sender. An ad for Labour candidate Phil Prendergast running in South Tipperary. Clonmel based Prendergast is tipped by many for a seat and has been active in the campaign to save Clonmel Hospital.

 

Independent Mattie McGraths Election Newsletter -2011 General Election Tipperary South


First off many thanks to the sender who braved it to enter Matties ‘information centre’ to get the pics.
Mattie has left the green of Fianna Fail and gone the Blue and Gold of Tipp, the same colours used by Michael Lowry leaflets.
Mattie wants to save Clonmel hospital, has himself pictured with Brian Lenihan, Marie Hoctor and others.
Hopefully further Mattie stuff coming this way over the course of the campaign.
No word yet if Mattie has a campaign song to match his 2007 opus.

Leaflet for Seamus Healy -WUAG -Tipperary South 2011 General Election January 2, 2011


A leaflet for the forthcoming General election from Seamus Healy of The Workers and Unemployed Action Group (WUAG).
The Clonmel based WUAG was founded in 1985 and Healy has been a Councillor for the majority of the time since. It currently has five councillors Seamus Healy, Billy Shoer ,Pat English, Brian O’Donnell and Teresa Ryan on Clonmel UDC. Martin Henzey was elected to Carrick on Suir Town Council in 2009. It also has two county Councillors.
It is contesting the forthcoming General Election as part of the United Left Alliance. It has been to the forefront of the campaign to Save Clonmel Hospital.

Richie Molloy, Peadar O’Donnell -Progressive Democrats -2007 GE Tipperary South June 26, 2010


From the 2007 General Election, Progressive Democrat candidates in Tipperary South Richie Molloy and Peadar O’Donnell.
Clonmel based Molloy polled 364 votes and O’Donnell polled 177 votes.
In the 2009 local elections Richie Molloy was elected to Tipperary South Riding County Council running for Fianna Fail.
On electionsireland.org Peadar O’Donnell is down as having run for the Workers Party in the 1991 Local Elections. Some conversion from WP to PD.

Noel Davern , Martin Mansergh – Fianna Fail -Tipperary South 2002 General Election June 21, 2010


From the 2002 General Election a leaflet for Fianna Fail candidates Noel Davern and Martin Mansergh running in Tipperary South.
Noel Davern was elected. Martin Mansergh failed to win a seat but was elected in 2007.
A detailed biography of both candidates as well as a long message from Bertie and some local achievements.
Manserghs time in the Public Sector is quite interesting.
