From the 2011 Assembly Elections a leaflet from Paddy Meehan of The Socialist Party who was running in South Belfast. Meehan polled 234 votes and missed out on a seat.
In 2003 arising from their roles in the anti bin tax campaign, Clare Daly and Joe Higgins were jailed for a month. This is a leaflet issued by the Fingal Anti Bin Tax Campaign ‘Free Clare and Joe -No more jailings!’ .

Last week I posted a leaflet in French for Finghín Kelly an Irishman who was a candidate on the Gauches Communes list in Saint Gilles. Saint Gilles is a commune in Brussels.
Amongst other material produced was this leaflet in English on one side and French on the other.
The Election took place on the 14th of October 2012 and “The list I stood on , ‘Gauches Communes’ got 3.65% of the vote (639 votes) which was just short of winning a seat.”

Something highly unusual here, a leaflet for an Irishman, Finghín Kelly, who is running in the Local Elections in Brussels.
“I am the 10th candidate on the Gauches Communes list in Saint Gilles. Saint Gilles is a commune in Brussels.
Gauches Communes is standing in 4 Communes in Brussels. It was initiated by 3 parties, Parti Socialiste de Lutte (sister party of the Irish SP), Parti Humaniste and Comité pour une Autre Politique. It also has many left independents and trade union activists. Also on the list in St Gilles is myself, member of the Irish Socialist Party and a member of the Greek party SYRIZA.”

An edition of the “Limerick Socialist” -Newsletter of the Limerick Socialist Party from April 2012. Amongst the areas covered are the Household Charge and The Fiscal Treaty Referendum.
From the 2004 Local Elections a Leaflet from Socialist Party candidates Ruth Coppinger and Helen Redwood with the headline “Elect Two Socialist Party Councillors” . The two were running in Mulhuddart, Ruth Coppinger was elected with 1,848 votes whilst Helen Redwood polled 607 votes and missed out on a seat.
The leaflet also asks voters to vote for Joe Higgins in the European Elections.
From the 2004 Local Elections “Put a real campaigner on the Council” a leaflet from Socialist Party candidate in Dundrum Lisa Maher.Maher polled 1,287 votes and narrowly missed taking a seat, by just 84 votes.
The March 2012 newsletter from Socialist Party Dublin MEP Paul Murphy urging voters to “Vote No To The Austerity Treaty”. Aside from the treaty the Household Charge is also mentioned.

In what may possibly be the first poster of the Fiscal Treaty referendum campaign. “Say NO to the EU Austerity Treaty” , advertising a meeting in Liberty Hall, Monday March 5, 7.30pm to be addressed by Socialist Party MEP Paul Murphy and Soren Sondergaard a Danish MEP.
From the 2009 Local Elections a leaflet for Socialist Party candidate in Mulhuddart Denis Keane. Keane polled 642 votes and missed out on a seat whilst running mate Ruth Coppinger was easily elected.
In a speech in the Dail the last week Joe Higgins referred to some old Eamon Gilmore Leaflets that I’d posted here previously.
