From the 1945 Presidential Election an ad for Independent candidate Patrick McCartan “McCartan for President”. He polled 212,834 votes (19.59%) in a contest won by Sean T O’Kelly.
McCartan a former TD and later founder member of of Clann na Poblachta , he also had a spell in the Seanad.

A fairly brutal pro life leaflet from the 1992 Abortion Referenda. Under the guise of’ Abortion -The Bishops Statement’ headline we get lines such as “The Supreme Court Judges who approved abortion in the X-case committed the mortal sin of murder… ” , “we must not have innocent blood on our hands like Albert Reynolds”
The leaflet goes on to ask for people to vote for everyone except Fianna Fail, even though some of the parties would have been pro choice.

A leaflet for our campaign, Justice for Mark and Andreas, that I have been running since January 2012 in an attempt to highlight the gross miscarriage of justice my family have been subjected to for over 2 years when my husband Mark, and his two brothers were arrested on the island of Crete in Greece and imprisoned. They were sentenced to 18 years in prison on January 2012 for crimes that happened in Greece while my husband was in Ireland. We have a website www.justiceformarkandandreas.com which gives more information about our nightmare.

From the 1945 Local Elections a Card from Owen McGahon (OB McGahon) who was running for Fine Gael in the Dundalk No. 1 ward.
His father, T.F. McGahon, was one of the inaugural members of Dundalk Urban District Council when it was created along with other Irish local authorities by the British Government in 1898. *source
His son was former Fine Gael TD Brendan McGahon.

From 1932 a Fianna Fail ad promoting protectionism. October 29, 2012
This is quite interesting in that it illustrates the protectionist part of the 1932 Fianna Fail manifesto that in part (along with the refusal to pay Land Annuities) led to the economic war with Britain from 1932 to 1938.
I wonder did Joe Dolan ever see it given the “More and More and More and More and More ….”
