From the Clár for the 1989 Fianna Fail Ard Fhies profiles of the candidates running for the Committee of 15. Among those running were Mary Hanafin and Micheál Martin.
Prior to the 1984 European Elections Fianna Fail had a number of Seminars for members on forthcoming European Elections. I’ve included the details of the seminar and some pages from the accompanying booklet. Included are messages from Charles Haughey, Gerry Collins and various details about Fianna Fail rules and the European Parliament.
An unusual one here with a leaflet from Dublin South West from Niall Collins TD, of the Limerick constituency, and Tallaght based Councillor Charlie O’Connor .

From the 1977 General Election a leaflet for Fianna Fail Carlow Kilkenny candidates Jim Gibbons, Liam Aylward, Tom Nolan, Paddy Carpenter and Mick Lanigan. Despite fielding five candidate in a five seater Fianna Fail won three seats with Tom Nolan, Jim Gibbons and Liam Aylward all elected. We also have a message from Jack Lynch to voters and an outline of Fianna Fails 1977 General Election policies.
A 1985 speech from then leader of Fianna Fail Charles J Haughey to the First Annual Dinner of the Friends of Fianna Fail in America. Its quite interesting in that it is very Rebulican in tone and illustrates efforts to get Irish America involved in the Northern Question as well as helping Ireland economically. I previously posted the Programme For The 1987 Fianna Fail ‘Dinnéar An Taoisigh’ With Prizes, Menu And Cigars , so thought I’d post the following years one too. Some nice prizes on offer, a decent menu however no cigars on the menu in 1988!
