The first issue of An Caorthann (The Rowan Tree),  quarterly magazine of information and discussion for the Irish Green Party / Comhaontas Glas and the wider green and alternative movement.  It ran until 1998. Many thanks to the sender. It’s 48 pages, so it’s uploaded in pdf.

Many thanks to the sender who notes…..


Was given it today by a friend from Cork South Central – it’s Dan Boyle’s postal manifesto / Litir Um Thoghcháin.  There’s a rather strange quotation from of all people Rudyard Kipling:  “Judge of the Nations, spare us yet – Lest we forget, lest we forget”.

I looked it up – the quote comes from Kipling’s poem “Recessional”  ….. another stirring bit of that poem – “If, drunk with sight of power, we loose….”

Dan Boyle Flyer -Green Party -Cork South Central 1992 March 10, 2010


A flyer from the Cork South Central Green Party candidate,the now Senator, Dan Boyle from the 1992 General Election.
It was his first General election and he polled 1,166 votes.
A few nice lines about building houses rather than motorways, fundamental changes in our taxation system and looking after the young and the elderly.

From the 2002 General Election a leaflet for Green Party candidate Dan Boyle who was elected in Cork South Central. Boyle polled 4,952 votes.
