From Woman’s Way October 1968, a Fianna Fail ad looking for a Yes vote in the Referendum on the change in voting system, with the catchy headline “There’s someone we’d like you to meet more often: Your TD.” Interestingly Your TD is referred to as ‘him’ in the ad.

A Leaflet from the Irish Think Tank of the 50’s and 60’s ‘Tuairim’. It has details of what the group did as well as various nationwide contact details.
They were the subject of a book by Dr Tomás Finn, which is reviewed here.
The review notes that
Tuairim (the Irish word for “opinion”) was an intellectual movement that challenged traditional orthodoxy and put forward new ideas and fresh solutions. From the late 1950s, Tuairim’s members, who included the late Garret Fitzgerald, future Supreme Court Judge Donal Barrington, Miriam Hederman O’Brien, Jim Doolan and David Thornley, sought to influence debate and public policy in an attempt to re-invent the country.

From the referendum to Abolish the Seanad ‘SOS …Save Our Seanad …Vote No’ a leaflet from Direct Democracy Ireland. I think the DDI are also calling for a No vote on the Court of Appeal Referendum.
From the 2007 General Election a leaflet from Green Party candidate in Donegal North East Frank Gallagher. Gallagher polled a respectable 520 votes.
Sadly he passed away in 2011 aged 56.

A by-Election is being held today (14th September 2013) for the position of Ogra Fianna Fail policy and campaigns officer. The position also makes the office holder a member of the Fianna Fail National Executive. This is a leaflet from one of the candidates Dr John Regan. He is a former special adviser to minister Pat Carey.
The candidates manifesto is quite interesting and well thought out.

A leaflet from Sinn Fein “Stop The Banks Pocketing Your Mortgage Rate Cut” urging the government to take a tougher stance on various banks passing on ECB interest rate cuts.
From the 2011 Seanad Elections a leaflet from Bill Tormey of Fine Gael who was running for a seat on the Cultural and Educational panel. In the leaflet we learn that he is the only Fine Gael public rep for vast areas of Dublin North West and that he is a health campaigner. There is no mention of Reform or Seanad abolition. Instead it also focuses on his loyalty to Fine Gael (He stood in a number of elections for Labour and a number also as an Independent before finding his home in Fine Gael).
