Thought this might be of interest. Fine Gael in Dublin South East advertising on the back page of the local D4 newspaper. Despite losing the party whip, Lucinda Creighton still features prominently in the Ad…. ……. and of course she is still a member of Fine Gael.

Another set of candidate profiles from the brochure for the 2001 Young Fine Gael National Conference (previous lot of profiles including Lucinda Creigton) . This time we have amongst others answering who they would like to be stuck in a lift with, their favourite chat up lines ….. we have Kerry South TD Brendan Griffin. The other profiles are of Cian Kelly, Kevin Callan, Mark Finan, Alan Hayes, David Garrahy and Róisín Kelly.

From the brochure for the 2001 Young Fine Gael National Conference held in The Abbey Court Hotel in Nenagh, profiles of the candidates for the various positions in the party. The questions are fairly ‘Youth politicsish’ so we get to read what candidates favpourite chat up lines are, who they’d like to be stuck in a lift with and so on…
Candidates were Lucinda Creighton, Sean McKiernan, Jarleth Munnelly, Gerry O’Connell, Michael Moriarty, Georgina Robinson and Tomas Ponsonby.

The Summer 2013 Newsletter from Noel Rock the Fine Gael Local Rep for Glasnevin,Whitehall, Drumcondra, Finglas and Ballymun. It has various bits of local news such as grants, sports, bikes, the Gathering and jobs. Rock also notes his support for Shelbourne FC.

A leaflet from Fine Gael Castleknock Local Election candidate Henry Minogue, introducing himself to voters. It also has a nice endorsement from Leo Varadkar at the back.

From the 2011 General Election campaign (or possibly slightly before it) a leaflet from Fine Gael outlining their ‘Fair Care’ plan on Health. The headline is “Free GP Care For You only with Fine Gael” and at the end of the leaflet are various targets and time frames that they will be met with ‘Fine Gael in Government’.
From the 2011 General Election a simple ‘Sorry I Missed You’ card from Fine Gael Dublin South candidate , Peter Mathews. Mathews was elected and has since lost the whip.
From the 2004 Local Elections a leaflet for Fine Gael candidate Pat Crimmins who was running in the Donaghmede ward for a seat on Dublin City Council. Despite polling a respectable 1,645 he missed out on a seat. In 2007 he was co-opted onto the Council and held his seat in 2009.
There’s also a nice picture of him in a Dubs jersey with a pair of Roller Blades around his neck… to illustrate his campaigning for an ice rink in Donaghmede !

From the 1969 General Election campaign an ad from Fine Gael from Womens Way Magazine. The Ad features Richie Ryan the ‘shadow minister of health an Social Welfare’ asking the question “Wouldn’t you like a better Social Welfare system?” and giving the answer in various proposed changes from Fine Gael.

The leaflet highlights her work in the previous seanad, her Experience, a quote from Ghandi and more.
Garrets Fitzgeralds message and details of various Fine Gael groups from the 1986 Fine Gael Diary. I’ve also included The Leaders of Fine Gael and key dates in the history of Fine Gael. Theres an ad too from Fine Gael Senator Jack Daly trying to sell a few Mercs.
From the 1999 Booklet for the Fine Gael Ard Fheis, the photos from the Young fine Gael pages. Amongst others pictured is a young Leo Varadkar. Theres also a group in fancy dress with Nora Owen ‘Launching their passion for Europe Campaign’ for the Amsterdam Treaty .(The leaflets caused some controversy). Would love to know if there were any future TDs lurking in that fancy dress picture.

From the 2011 General a leaflet from Tom Sheahan who was running for Fine Gael in Kerry South.Sheahan was was elected a TD in 2007, lost his seat in this 2011 General Election. He was however elected to the Seanad on the Administrative panel.

From the booklet for the 1999 Fine Gael Ard Fheis a four page article by PJ O’Meara ‘Fine Gael Through The Decades… a brief history’. It has plenty of nice pictures and ends on an optimistic note that …’Fine Gael should ready itself for an imminent return to Government’.
