Flyer for Eamon Gilmore and Sylvie Batt -Workers Party -1991 Local Elections Ballybrack May 14, 2011

From the 1991 Local Elections a flyer for Workers Party candidates Eamon Gilmore and Sylvie Batt running in the Ballybrack LEA. Gilmore topped the poll and was elected on the first count with over 2000 votes but failed to bring in his running mate Batt who polled 333 first preferences.
The two candidates are pictured with other Dun Laoghaire based candidates in this brilliant  1991 leaflet.

Featuring a cool looking Eamon Gilmore….Workers Party 1991 – ‘Do You Remember 1985?” September 30, 2009

Its from the back of a Marian White Leaflet (the lady on the left of the picture). Its eyecatching to say the least.
Colm Breathnach, Denis O’Callaghan and Eamon Gilmore were elected.
