From the 2004 Local Elections a Leaflet from Socialist Party candidates Ruth Coppinger and Helen Redwood with the headline “Elect Two Socialist Party Councillors” . The two were running in Mulhuddart, Ruth Coppinger was elected with 1,848 votes whilst Helen Redwood polled 607 votes and missed out on a seat.
The leaflet also asks voters to vote for Joe Higgins in the European Elections.

From the 2009 Local Elections a leaflet for Socialist Party candidate in Mulhuddart Denis Keane. Keane polled 642 votes and missed out on a seat whilst running mate Ruth Coppinger was easily elected.

A councillor since 2004 she is seen as having a decent chance of winning the by election. She announces that she will be standing in the by election. Issues such as the new household charge, Cuts in SNAs and Blanchardstown Hospital are also covered.

From the 2004 Local Elections, Socialist Party candidate Helen Redwood running in the Mulhuddart LEA. Voters are asked to give a number 2 to her running mate Ruth Coppinger. Helen Redwood polled 607 votes and failed to get in, however her colleague Ruth Coppinger was easily elected.
The party outlines both their national issues as well as issues local to Fingal and Blanchardstown.
