From the 1999 Local Elections a Leaflet for Fianna Fail candidates Sheila Dickson-O’Shea, Pat F O’Connor, Tom Doherty and Maurice O’Donoghue who were running for seats on Killarney UDC. Sheila Dickson-O’Shea, Pat F O’Connor and Maurice O’Donoghue were elected.
From the 1961 General Election ‘Labour the party with the positive policy backed by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions….’ “In the past five years 245,641 emigrated. They Can’t Vote! You Can..Vote First for Labour”
From the 1987 General Election a leaflet from Fianna Fail candidates Michael O’Kennedy and Michael Smith who were both elected in Tipperary North. The Leaflet gives lengthy profiles of the candidates as well as details on how “North Tipperary can depend on this experienced team”. We also have Charles Haugheys message to the Electorate with details of “The Fianna Fail plan for National Recovery”.
From the 1938 General Election “Farm Prices must be kept at a Paying Level” from Fianna Fail. Fianna Fail stated that it was “the main task before the next Dail-not arbitration for Civil Servants or useless debates concerning events now past or any of the other futile things that Fine Gael is agitating about.”
A poster advertising a forthcoming exhibition of posters, leaflets and newspaper adverts from Ireland’s crucial EEC accession referendum in 1972. The exhibition is in The Culture Box, East Essex Street in Temple Bar. It runs from Saturday 16th to Friday 22nd November 2013. It looks very interesting.

From 1998 a newsletter from Fianna Fail MEP for Munster Gerry Collins giving details on “Rural Development Policies Of The E.U.”. In it we learn about CAP, Agenda 2000, EU funding for roads and other items.
From the 2007 General Election , a leaflet from Fine Gael outlining “The Contract for a Better Ireland…..” . Before 2011’s ‘The 5 point Plan’ was Enda Kennys contract with the Irish people.
This contract was the inside of the generic Fine Gel leaflet from that election.
“Political Parties have NO solution!” Leaflet published by Cork’s ‘for Democracy!’ group Their Facebook page and supported by the CPPC (their website) An Chomhdháil Phobail I The People’s Convention (CPPC).
The leaflet is looking for candidates for the 2014 Local and European Elections to step forward. It also advertises a stall every Saturday outside Dunnes in Patrick Street (Cork) and their meetings.

A “Save Our Small Schools” postcard addressed to Enda Kenny produced by Sinn Fein TD Jonathan O’Brien. It asks the child to draw a picture of their school on the front and there is a message to Enda Kenny on the back with the child to fill in their name , age and school.
From the 1969 General Election a Labour Party ad that appeared in the June 1969 edition of Woman’s Way magazine. “Let’s build the New Republic…..this time vote Labour” . Pictured is Brendan Corish with School Children with the text focusing on emigration and Labours plans for full employment.

The Autumn 2012 newsletter from Independent TD for Wexford Mick Wallace. Amongst the items included is his statement on Under-Declaration of VAT and pieces on Upholding Human Rights, Helping Small Business and Mortgage Arrears.
I found this in a copy of Fine Gaels ‘Just Society’ that I had at the bottom of a drawer. Its a letter from Fine Gael Waterford TD Eddie Collins to , what I can only assume is a constituent who had asked his advice about applying for a position on the RTE Authority. I wonder what the ‘movement’ referred to in the letter was?
From late June 1981 a leaflet issued by the Dublin7/ Cabra H-Block Group “Don’t Let More Prisoners Die In The Blocks” .At this stage four of the Hunger Strikers had died. Bobby Sands, Kieran Doherty and Paddy Agnew had all been elected to The Dail or Westminster. The leaflet also advertises activities that were coming up.
From the 2013 Fianna Fail President’s Dinner “The Chief” a copy of a portrait of Eamon DeValera by Una Cahill presented to Michael Martin by attendees fo the dinner from Tipperary Fianna Fail. The souvenir copy of the portrait is from Arthur Griffin, Vice President of Fianna Fail.

A Leaflet Join the ‘Anti-Austerity Alliance’ from the Limerick Anti-Austerity Alliance Campaign , which is part of a National Anti Austerity Alliance which will be fielding candidates in the 2014 Local Elections. The ‘Anti-Austerity Alliance’ was previously part of the Campaign against Household and Water Taxes and The Campaign Against Property Tax and Austerity .
Eight candidates have been selected so far in Limerick (with more to come) They are:
Cian Prendiville and Mary Hartery to contest the North City ward
Derrick Towell, Paul Keller & Stephanie O’Shea to contest the 8 seat East City ward
John Loftus to contest the 7 seat West City ward.
In the county, Joe Harrington will contest the Newcastle West ward, and Kathleen Enright will contest in Adare/Rathkeale.
According to the campaign, another selection conference will be organised in the autumn to add an extra candidate for West City, and for the Cappamore Killmallock ward.
