Yes to The Good Friday Agreement leaflet from Fine Gael December 11, 2012

From the Referendum on The Good Friday Agreement and Amsterdam Treaty a leaflet from Fine Gael asking for a Yes vote in both. This Munster based leaflet featured then Fine Gael MEP John Cushnahan.

From the 1989 European Elections a leaflet from former leader of The Alliance Party and prominent Civil Rights movement figure John Cushnahan running for Fine Gael in Munster. Cushnahan polled 43,326 votes and was elected. He was returned again in 1994 and 1999.

From the 1989 General Election a small flyer for Fine Gael North Kerry candidate Jimmy Deenihan “The People’s Champion”. Deenihan is the holder of 5 All Ireland Medals and 7 Munster medals. In this 1989 Election Deenihan polled 8,692 votes and was elected on the first count.
The European Elections took place on the same day hence the request to vote for Fine Gael Munster candidates John Cushnahan and Tom Raftery.



Sheila Casey -Fine Gael -1999 Local Elections -Killarney January 23, 2012

From the 1999 Local Elections in Killarney a leaflet from Fine Gael candidate Sheila Casey. Also mentioned are her running mates Alan O’Sullivan and Tadhg O’Sullivan as well as John Cushnahan and Jim Corr who were running for Europe.
She was elected and in 2003 became the first woman to be Mayor of Killarney.
