From the 1973 Presidential Election a leaflet from former Fine Gael TD Tom O’ Higgins who was running as The National Coalition Candidate. He was defeated by Fianna Fail candidate Erskine Childers.

From the 1945 Presidential Election an ad for Independent candidate Patrick McCartan “McCartan for President”. He polled 212,834 votes (19.59%) in a contest won by Sean T O’Kelly.
McCartan a former TD and later founder member of of Clann na Poblachta , he also had a spell in the Seanad.

From the 1990 Presidential Campaign an Anti Mary Robinson and Austin Currie Leaflet from a group called Clann Na bFinini (The Family Group).
The group labeled Mary Robinson as anti family and much more.
A wonderful piece of history this. From the 1966 Presidential Election a leaflet from Eamon De Valera with the slogan “President of the Nation”. Inside he is pictured at the celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of the 1916 rising. There is also a section outlining his “50 years of service to the nation” as well as a good deal of the leaflet in Irish.

From the 1959 Presidential Election and the Referendum on the Change in Voting system a flyer urging a vote for Eamon De Valera for president and a Yes vote in the Referendum.
De Valera was elected defeating Sean MacEoin. The Referendum proposal was defeated 486,989 votes against to 453,322 votes in favour.
