Leaflet from Shirley Griffin -People’s Candidate (CPPC) – Ballincollig-Carrigaline March 27, 2014

A leaflet from Shirley Griffin who is running as a People’s Candidate in Ballincollig-Carrigaline for a seat on Cork County Council.
You’ll find her profile here

To date, An Chomhdháil Phobail / The People’s Convention (www.cppc.ie) has twelve candidates contesting the elections in Cork.
CPPC is not a political party, has no whip system, and has no national executive dictating policies. By getting independendents elected to Council, the CPPC movement aims to dismantle the present vested interest political party stranglehold, enforced by a whip system, and give power back to local communities.
Candidates have signed a pledge (the PEOPLES CONTRACT), obliging elected representatives to engage in a consultation process with their local community on every issue to be voted upon at Council meetings and are duty bound to vote on the mandate of the wishes of their community.

Many thanks to the sender.
