Founded in 1924 , the Party was a split from Cumann na nGaedheal caused by the treatment of Army Officers in the 1924 Army Mutiny. This episode covers the Party as well as the Army Mutiny. The Group were also known as The National League and National Party

Founded in 2014, The National Citizens Movement grew out of The Anti Water Charges and wider anti Austerity Movement. They contested the 2015 Carlow Kilkenny By-Election before merging with Direct Democracy Ireland in December 2015.

From the 2015 Carlow Kilkenny By-Election a leaflet from Elizabeth Hourihane who was running for the National Citizens Movement. The Leaflet contains the main policy points of the National Citizens Movement who were founded in August 2014 and enjoy the support of Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan. She polled 215 votes and failed to win a seat.
