From the 2009 Local Elections for Wicklow County Council, longstanding Independent Councillor Jim Ruttle running in the Blessington LEA. Jim Ruttle was elected.
From the 2009 Local Elections in Blessington, Fine Gael candidate Lorcan McMahon. Despite polling well Lorcan McMahon failed to get in.
