A letter to voters from Joe McCormack who is running as an Independent in Portlaoise for a seat on Laois County Council. A veteran of elections Joseph McCormack has been contesting since at least 1979. He was elected to Portlaoise Town Council on at least one occasion. He has always stood as an Independent although in 1987 he stood under the moniker of “The People’s Party of Ireland” .
By the heading on the letter he appears to think that it is a General rather than Local Election.
Many thanks to the sender.
