Something non political , but something that may be of interest. I found this wonderful article at home in a 1971 issue of ‘This Week’ magazine. Its about Charlie Chaplin and his family holidaying in Waterville County Kerry at Easter 1971.
There’s an RTE Radio Documentary ‘Kerry and the Tramp’
In the small village of Waterville County Kerry there stands a statue of the silver screen legend Charlie Chaplin. It’s presence pays homage to a cinema superstar who made Waterville his regular holiday home in the 60’s and 70’s. This documentary tells the story of how the Little Tramp ended up in love with this Kerry retreat.
And also heres a Charlie Chaplin Stamp

Yes, Thought it was unusual enough to post.
The Charlie Chaplin Comedy festival is on in the village this weekend. Apparently he spent many years visiting there (and who’d blame him?). They’ve a statue of him in the middle of the village n’all!
