From around 2004 (could be 1999) a leaflet from Fianna Fail candidate in Dundrum Trevor Matthews. Interestingly Sunday Trading is amongst the issues covered as well as Composting and other items related to refuse.
Trevor Matthews was reelected in 2004.

I think it’s cool how he subtly indicates his strong interest in cricket by adding the initials of his club after his name on the reverse side of the leaflet. Other clues to his abiding love of the game are the name of the street he lives on and his keenness for composting a slow and relaxed method of rubbish disposal.
If more Irish politicians could be encouraged to develop an understanding and appreciation of the game rather than the rough and tumble of the indigenous codes and rugby whence most of them have emanated this would surely be a good thing.
