Damien, any idea who got elected?
JJ Reid was the only successful at this one. My father was a serving FG town councillor at the time, having topped the poll in 1985 and again in 1994 (then for Fianna Fáil, having left Fine Gael and spending time as an Independent). This was for the County Council in ’89, where he was unsuccesful.
Thanks for that. So this is from 1989 not 1985? I’ll have to redate some other stuff now too. Given the wealth of resources out there for pre 1990 local election results, dating stuff is sometimes guesswork.

Phew…. I was begining to doubt myself. I think my Father got this for me, as I remember being thrilled at finally getting some Independent Fianna Fail literature.
